foundation artmaking: drawing
this course explores the formal elements of artmaking, encouraging you to develop your own style of drawing
foundation
artmaking: colour exploration
immerse yourself in the practical aspects of colour mixing, discover the associations provoked by colour, and find ways to use colour in your own artmaking
foundation
artmaking: discover your personal symbolic vocabulary
explore the subjects and objects that interest you, unearth your personal symbolism, develop an awareness of symbolism in the images of other artists, and research the more universal meanings of signs and symbols
simple printmaking
monotype and relief printmaking (bespoke workshops)
simple bookmaking
for artists
construct unique artist's books in different formats, using your own artwork, sketches, prints, and notes for the pages (bespoke workshops)
contemporary
artwriting for artists
how to write an artist's statement, a press release, a catalogue essay and for your online presence; realise how your writing style reflects your 'brand' as an artist.

the artmaking focus @ nanoCUBE
is to enable everyone to develop their own creative style in a relaxed and encouraging studio environment via learning about the formal aspects of artmaking and being introduced to a large selection of images by a range of historical and contemporary artists.​​
